Offline AI chat and vision, entirely on your device.
Aria runs its AI models directly on your iPhone or iPad — there are no accounts, no servers, and no internet connection required after the one-time model download on first launch.
The app is slow to respond the first time I open it.
On first launch, Aria downloads its on-device AI models (a few hundred MB). This only
happens once and requires an internet connection; after that, everything runs offline.
Chat or photo identification seems off.
Aria uses small, on-device language and vision models so everything stays private and
works without internet. They're less capable than large cloud AI models, so answers may
occasionally be inaccurate — especially for very recent events or specialized topics.

Aria is designed to work entirely offline, on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Aria does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on any server. There are no user accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Chat messages and any photos you identify with Aria are processed entirely on your device by on-device AI models. They are never sent anywhere and never leave your device, except that the operating system may back up app data as part of your normal device or iCloud backups, which you control.
Aria only uses the network once, on first launch, to download its on-device AI models. After that, no network access is required or used by the app.
Aria does not share any data with third parties, because it does not collect or transmit any data in the first place.
Because Aria collects no data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address.
